Digital services for public transport is a very interesting field. Both those who travel every day and temporary visitors are in need of fast and correct information. They need simple instructions on how to best get from point A to point B, how to buy the ticket and where the nearest stop is.
Together with a partner, we have developed a prototype of a mobile application that will make travel with the airport coaches in Skellefteå, Sweden, exactly that–simpler and more convenient. It also provides real-time information on developments that might affect your trip.
In this project, we see a clear potential in the intersection of developers’ creativity and one of the core areas of RelyITS–integration. Stable integrations with a number of underlying systems are necessary in order for the mobile app to provide the best possible benefit for the traveler.
